KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepal Airlines will be bringing in 28 foreign pilots to fill flights after being unable to fill its vacancies with Nepali citizens. It is bringing in Chinese pilots to operate the newly-arrived Airbus 330 as well as another of the same model that is soon to arrive.

Nepal Airlines has 2 captains and 2 co-pilots currently prepared to operate the wide-body aircraft while each aircraft requires 7 captains and 7 co-pilots. Typically, foreign pilots charge 1.2 million rupees per month to operate small aircraft, around 1.5 million per month to operate Airbus 320 aircraft, and from 1.7 - 1.8 million rupees per month to operate wide-body aircraft.
