NAC to ink deal with AAR to buy new wide body by March

KATHMANDU, Feb 6 : Nepal Airlines Corporation is set to ink the agreement with American company AAR to buy the new Airbus wide body A 330- 200 by the month of March, 2017.
Sugatratna Kansakar, Managing Director of National Flag carrier made the announcement of the date organizing a Press meet in capital Kathmandu on Monday.
“NAC have planned to add at least one aircraft in tis fleet every year. They all will be designated to fly abroad,” Kansakar informed the media persons.
Nepal Airlines Corporation went ahead in buying the new carrier after the Government of Nepal agreed to be guarantee while buying the new aircraft on 14th of September last year.
After the arrival of the new aircraft the NAC also has announced to start daily flights to various destinations mainly the Asian countries.
“As per the commercial objectives of the Corporation we will start daily direct flights to Dammam, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo,” the statement released after the meet states.
With the speculation regarding the absence of Airbus in the quotation appealed by NAC Kansakar briefed media and criticized for the reporting regarding the to be brought aircraft by various media.
“The to be brought aircraft is not denting-painting. Some of the media reported that it is old and some even reported that there is no plane with AAR. The plane is under construction then how could they have plane? They are on the process of making it,” Managing Director of NAC Sugat Ratna Kansakar said.
He further added, ”It will take long time to get delivery and construction of new aircraft from Airbus so they didn’t showed interest and remained absent,” Kansakar briefed media persons claiming to have had talks with senior Airbus officials.
Along with it the NAC is soon to start the auction of two old Boeing from next week. The NAC have claimed that the two aircraft are in a condition to fly well up to America.
