NAC wide-body "Annapurna" starts flights to Banglore

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: Nepal Airlines' new wide-body aircraft has started flights to Banglore, India. The Airbus 320 "Annapurna" had started commercial operation with flights to Doha.

NAC has been focused on process to start flights of the two new wide-body aircraft to new destinations in Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. Currently, the the aircraft are being operated on old routes. Spokesperson Sailesh Kansakar informed that the corporation has appointed a global sales agent at South Korea who will take charge of ticketing and marketing for the NAC.

The NAC intends to conduct direct flights to all three locations. While Annapurna has already started flights, the second arrival Makalu has yet to gain the Air Operation Certificate. Kansakar informed that the customs process has been completed and that the Civil Aviation Authority will be providing the aircraft with an AOC soon.
