NAC’s Gaunthali and Fews starts flights from Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Feb 21 : The two new planes brought to Nepal by Nepal Airlines Corporation in Chinese aid have started its operation inside the country. The two planes MA 60 (Fewa) and Y12 E (Gaunthali) has started its operation inside the country.

Both the new planes will provide 6 daily flights in 3 different routes. NAC has added the number of flights in the same schedule of before. With the increasing competition with other private sector planes the NAC has added new flights in the old schedule.

The 56 seater MA 60 will fly to Kathmandu- Biratnagar- Kathmandu and Kathmandu- Dhangadhi- Kathmandu route on daily basis. The NAC has fixed the flight schedule in Kathmandu- Bhadrapur route for Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Likewise there will be Kathmandu- Bhairahawa flight on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. MA 60 will make an monthly flight of 1 hundred and 5 hours, the NAC have informed.

The Y 12 E plane will fly daily in the route of Kathmandu- Pokhara- Kathmandu and Kathmandu- Nepalgunj- Kathmandu. The plane will fly on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Kathmandu- Bhairahawa route.

The plane with call sign Y 12 E also will fly in the route of Kathmandu- Simara- Kathmandu on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Y 12 will fly for 1 hundred and 14 hours in a month.

With the addition of two new planes in the fleet the number of planes with NAC operating in domestic service has rise to 9,
