NARA organizes 17th Himalayan White Water Challenge

KATHMANDU, Sep 30: 17th Himalayan White Water Challenge 2018 is being organized by Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies at MARSYANGDI RIVER from 24th – 26th November. Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) has been organizing the Himalayan White Water Challenge (HWWC) since 2002 in different rivers of Nepal, main goal of this international event is promoting adventurous white water rafting tours in domestic and international sectors through the mighty competition among the Nepalese and International Rafting Athletes. The ongoing event is organizing by NARA and promoted by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).


This three days whitewater challenge will consist award winning four categories in Extreme Kayak Slalom, Boater Cross (Head to Head) and Kayak Down River Race at Marsyangdi River- MARSYANGDI (THE RAGIN RIVER)The three-day event is taking place in the Marsyangdi River which is lies between the 3 km above from Besi Sahar and 2 km below from Khudi khola on November 24 to 26,2018 and the event will feature kayak slalom, kayak freestyle and kayak down river race respectively for three days. This program is being organized at an international level and around 500 participants throughout the world is estimated to participate in this program.


This event will take place on Marsyangdi River Rafting (Annapurna region).The organizer aims to promote rafting and Kayaking in Nepal. The Himalayan White Water Challenge is an international event held annually in the Himalayan Rivers of Nepal. This year the event will be held at Marsyangdi River, Himalayan White Water Challenge has been attracting some of the best kayakers in the world to participate in this event. Participants during the three – day event will be competing in the following disciplines The Major events are: - Kayak Extreme slalom, Down River Race, Kayak Free style and Boater Cross.
