NARA sends off players to compete in international rafting competition

KATHMANDU, June 22: The Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) has sent its national players to participate in the 2018 Xiyuan International Rafting Classic Sports Culture Week, set to take place in Xi Ziang and Wupai rivers. The international rafting contest will be taking place from June 26 to July 2.

The Nepal team will be taking part in the International Rafting Elite Challenge, China Sup Golden League, and the International Rafting City Development Forum. The representative from the government, Kosh Nath Adhikari, will be giving a presentation in the Business Forum regarding the field of adventure tourism in Nepal. The winning prize for the contest is RMB 150,000 which equals around NRS 2,400,000. The participation is hoped to promote the Nepali presence in the global adventure sports.

The team departing for China is composed of Nim B. Magar (President, Coach), Shiva Adhikari (General Secretary, Official Representative), Sunil Gurung (Player), Lil Bahadur Gurung (Player), Jivan Magar (Player), and Pradip Magar (Player).
