NCC urges Minister of Foreign Affairs to improve domestic environment for tourists

KATHMANDU, Mar 22: President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, said that the correct environment should be fostered to increase the stay of tourists in Nepal. A delegation led by President Shrestha met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali to speak on various topics. He emphasized that economic diplomacy should also be taken forward.
Shrestha said that business should be promoted between Nepal and India by organizing the Tatopani and Korala borders. It is said that the items from India take more than two days in reaching Nepal so it is having negative effect. The Chamber has requested the minister to meet with ambassadors and foreign diplomats to urge them to invest in Nepal.
Minister Gyawali has given his first priority to economic development. He also informed that foreign diplomacy is moving forward. He believed that economic development is the basis of international relations. The team comprised of former President Suresh Kumar Basnet, Vice President Deepak Kumar Malhotra and Ekchha Raj Tamang.
