Nepal Airlines soon to start flights to 3 new countries

KATHMANDU, Aug 08: Nepal Airlines will now be conducting flights to 3 new countries. The NAC, which had been conducting international flights to 8 destinations, has brought forward plans to conduct flights to Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia within the next 3 months. Currently, it conducts flights to Doha, Hong Kong, Dubai, Kuala Lampur, Bangkok, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai.

NAC Spokesperson Rajendra Shrestha said that the corporation is making preparations to conduct flights to the 3 new destinations within the next 3 months. The two new wide-body aircraft purchased by the NAC will be filling flights to the new destinations, with the first arrival "Annapurna" having already gained the Air Operation Certificate while the second aircraft "Makalu" is in the process of gaining the AOC certificate.

Technical teams from Japan and South Korea will soon be arriving to survey and inspect the preparations being made by the NAC to conduct flights to those countries. Flights will be started to the countries after the respective technical teams' approval. Nepali pilots have also left for Saudi Arabia for necessary studies to conduct flights there.
