KATHMANDU, Nov 01: Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has granted permission to Kuwait’s private airlines Wataniya Airways to fly direct flights in between Nepal and Kuwait.

“Wataniya Airlines has got the permit to make daily flights to and fro Nepal-Kuwait. It is making plans to start the operation within some months,” Nepal’s Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ministries under Secretary Pramod Nepal said.

The direct flights between Kuwait and Nepal are believed to ease the travel for the Nepali workers to go and come back. An estimate from the government shows that about 90 thousand Nepali workers currently are working in Kuwait especially the females who reach there as maid.

With the direct flight to Kuwait the dependency on Fly Dubai, Qatar Airways, Oman air and other airlines providing flights to Kuwait will be broken and the boredom of waiting in transits for long time will be over. It will only take 5 hours to come and go Kuwait from Nepal.
