Nepal is always open for guests: Tourism Minister Adhikari

KATHMANDU, Sep 27: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has said that Nepal is always open for the guests.
At a program organized by the Association of Nepal Tourism Journalists to mark the ‘Atithi Devo Bhaba: Tourism Year 2020’, Minister Adhikari said that expressing love to the guests by remaining happy is our custom since time immemorial.
On the occasion, Minister Adhikari proposed the Association to work by being supportive to the government’s activities and link the campaigns to development and prosperity by paying attention to tourism promotion. He also pledged the government’s assistance in the initiative conducted by the Association.
The Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Tek Bahadur Mahat said that Nepal can be developed as a tourist destination by emphasizing on agricultural, culture, health, water, and herbal sectors.
Also speaking at the programme, Deputy Country Director of UNDP Ayshanie Labe said that tourism was a major basis to strengthen Nepal’s economy and materialize the government slogan of ‘Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal’.
On the occasion, Labe said that stability of the peace, attractive environment, entertainment and easy access are required for the development of tourism.
The ceremony was successfully conducted with the participation of more than 150 Tourism Journalist of Nepal. RSS
