Nepal participates in 32nd Korea World Travel Fair

KATHMANDU, June 3: The Embassy of Nepal, together with Nepal Tourism Board, has participated in the 32nd Korea World Travel Fair 2017 which has kicked off from June 1 for four days at COEX Exhibition Hall in Seoul.

Nepal is one of the 50 countries representing in the fair this year which is being organized by Korea World Travel Fair Organizing Committee in support with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.

Nepal has maintained three booths displaying her unique natural beauties and rich cultural heritages. Tourism promotional materials including posters, pamphlets, postcards, and informational booklets both in Korean and English languages were made available for distribution during the fair.

This year, through the fair, the Embassy is especially promoting Nepal as the "Land of Everest" and the "Birthplace of Shakyamuni Buddha". Further, it is highlighting Nepal this time as a completely safe and secure destination to be. Documentaries shown in the fair on Nepalese major tourism destinations and cultural sites are also the major sources for attracting the visitors to Nepal pavillion.

Nepal also showcased several tourism packages representing adventurous and religious tourism destinations through Sora Travels and Expeditions Ltd. which are also participating in the event.

The first two days of the event is available for intense B2B meetings and cultural shows whereas the public visits are expected to increase in the last two days. The organizers are expecting to have around one lakh visitors in the fair.
