Nepal receives Visitors Choice Adventure Destination award along with other in SATA

KATHMANDU, Sep 17: Launched in 2016, The third edition of South Asian Travel Awards ( SATA) was successfully concluded in Taj Mahal hotel, Mumbai.The South Asian Travel Awards is the first ever regional travel awards endorsed by multi-national associations providing the tourism sector of the South Asian Region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence. The South Asian Travel Awards aims to encourage and raise service standards within the regions of the Tourism industry.

Nominations for the third edition of SATA, which consists of 36 categories in 10 segments, closed in April with a record 500 plus nominations from the Bhutan,India,Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka . Online voting was carried out via the official website till June 30.

Nepal was awarded in various categories. In the following ceremony Nepal was awarded as Visitors Choice Adventure Destination award and Likewise Kathmandu Guest House won the title of Heritage Hotel/ Palace Award and Botique Hotel Award.

Similarly, Park Village resort was entitles with Meeting and Conference Hotel Resort award and Himalayan Front Hotel was awarded as Romantic hotel/ resort award and CSR programmed award.Jagatpur Lodge was awarded as Adventure hotel and resort and Annapurna Hotel received the business hotel award.

Also, the Luxury hotel/ resort award was given to Fishtail Lodge and City hotel award was givel to Mulberry hotel. Barahi jungle lodge, Shangri- la Village resort, Dahlia Boutique Hotel, Temple tree resort and Spa won the Eco hotel, family hotel and wellness and spa hotel award respectively. Wildlife Hotel/ resort hotel award was won by Meghauli serai, Chitwan National Park.
