Nepal set to finalize aviation agreement with three countries, sign new with two

KATHMANDU, Sep 12: The Government of Nepal is all set to finalize the aviation agreement with three countries where the flights to and fro is continuing and new with two countries.
Nepal Government previously made the agreement with United Arab Emirates, Turkey and New Zealand where the flights to and fro are continuing. The government is making the final preparations to seal it no later than two months.
Nepal on 19 October, 2015 had made preliminary agreement with UAE, 24 September 2010 with Turkey and 22 October 2015 with New Zealand. With the signing of the preliminary agreement between the countries they can operate flights to and fro.
Preparations underway to seal agreement with two countries
The Government of Nepal is undergoing preparations to seal agreement with Australia and Cambodia as new destinations for air service. The national flag carrier of Nepal is set to operate flights to Australia where the flow of tourists and students from Nepal is high. With the agreement signed the number of countries with whom Nepal has signed the MOU will stand at 40 since its commencement of aviation service from 1963 AD.
Review underway to add flights with some countries
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has started reviewing to add flights to and from Thailand, Japan, Egypt, China and others where the influx is high. The government is set to do the task within two months and has enlisted it as its upcoming task for the time being.
