Nepali students abroad stress on tourism, trade and foreign investment promotion

KATHMANDU, Dec. 13: Nepali students studying at Havard University of the United States (US) have stressed the need for the promotion of trade, tourism and foreign direct investment in Nepal.

The remarks were made at an interaction jointly organized by the US-based Nepali Consulate General Office and Nepali students, stated a press release issued by the Consulate General Office.

On the occasion, Consulate General Madhu Kumar Marasini highlighted the status of recent political development and current situation of Nepalese economy while noting that the recently-held elections to the local development, federal and provincial parliament have opened ways for political stability and economic development, reads the release.

He urged Nepali students to participate in the mega campaign of building new Nepal and stressed the need for Nepali students pursuing educatio0n in the globally-recognized Havard University to utilize their skills, knowledge and technology to that end, the release added.

Consulate General Marasini underlined the urgency of boosting productivity and promoting economy by developing innovative institutional approaches.

Thee interaction was attended by Rasik Adhikari, a representative of the students, Nepal government officials and private sector representatives.
