New tourist bus service in operation

KATHMANDU, April 12: The Travels Nepal Bus Service Pvt has launched bus service with modern latrine facility and restaurant targeting the foreign and domestic tourists in Nepal.
The new tourist bus with air conditioner facility has been launched under the banner 'Excitement and Experience'. A total of four buses will be operated for Kathmandu – Lumbini and Kathmandu – Pokhara routes for now, the company's administrator Deepak Bhattarai said, adding that five more buses will be operated in view of the customers' need.
Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Parashuram Tamang, inaugurated the bus service on Monday evening and expressed his view that the new service will be of additional support in Nepal's tourism development.
Company's Chairman, Sri Kant Acharya, said customers can avail of ticketing service from mobile apps and e-service.
He said the bus service will start on Wednesday to Lumbini and Pokhara simultaneously. He said the bus will offer a wide range of services including warm and cold food, water and a separate facility for those who smoke cigarettes.
The bus comes with 27 seats. The travel fare from Kathmandu to Pokhara has been fixed at USD 17 while the Kathmandu – Lumbini fare has been set at USD 25.
