"Newari Bhoj" starts today in Fairfield by Marriott

KATHMANDU : International Hotel Chain Fairfield by Marriott, Kathmandu is organizing “Newari Bhoj” or the Newari Feast starting from today.

The cultural event which also will feature Traditional Dance such as Manjushree, Kumari and Lakhey Dance and live traditional musical performance will last for 10 days celebrating the unique food and flavors of Newari Culture.

"This food festival will provide a platform for Newari artisan home cooks to make sure we capture the truly authentic flavours, unique to Newari Cuisine," The statement from Fairfield by Marriot states.

Mr. Pranjal Gogoi, executive head chef of the hotel along with the traditional Newari home cooks Mrs. Bima Shrestha, Mrs. Sharmila Rajbhandari, Mrs. Samjhana Shrestha and Mrs. Rohini Tuladar have come together to make this “Newari Bhoj” a distinctive experience within the city, the International hotel chain has claimed.

Anyone who attends "Newari Bhoj" will have Samayabaji Set, Yomari, Chatamari, Bahrah, Phokso, Momo, Bhutan as the starter and the lavish main course will have Rice, Khutti ko Jhol, Chicken Jol, Mutton Curry, Qwaty Soup, Tama Aaloo and for dessert of Juju Dhou, Lakhamari, Lapsi ko Pau, Jalebi and plenty more options followed by the traditional Newari drink; Himalayan Aaila.

The International Chain also offers Ruslan Vodka and Pepsi as complimentary drinks which will cost Nrs 1, 750.00 plus taxes per person. The festival will begin every evening 7:00 PM onwards during those dates.
