Newly Appointed GM of Nepal Airlines takes charge; assures to make more profit by adding aircraft

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: The newly appointed General Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)  Dim Prasad Poudel has taken charge on Monday. He has been appointed by the Government of Nepal as the General Manager of the NAC for 4 years. Known as a chartered accountant as well as a management expert, he was previously a member of the NAC's board of directors.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Sushil Ghimire expressed happiness over the appointment of a management expert and a young General Manager. Expressing happiness over the remarkable services provided by the NAC even in the time of the pandemic, he said that the new General Manager was appointed on the basis of mutual consultation and understanding. He assured that in the coming days, they would work together for the welfare of the NAC.

Newly appointed General Manager Dim Prasad Poudel expressed his gratitude to the government for giving him new responsibilities even though his experience in the aviation sector was new. He expressed confidence that the NAC would gain more profit by adding more aircraft. He said that the expected achievement could not be achieved by working in the traditional style and pointed out the need to work creatively in a different way.

Deputy General Manager Ganesh Bahadur Chand expressed confidence that the NAC would gain momentum as he has become the General Manager of the NAC. Likewise, Chairman of the official trade union, Subhash Dangi, said that although the corporation has ample potential, significant efforts are needed to overcome the current problem.
