Nima Rinji becomes  world's youngest to climber on the summit of Manaslu

KATHMANDU, Oct 02: A  16 years old Nima Rinji Sherpa from Sankhuwasabha successfully climbed the 8,163-meter Manaslu mountain on Friday morning.


He has become the youngest climber in the world to climb Manaslu at such a young age.

Seven Summit Treks has announced that Sherpa has become the world's youngest climber by stepping on the summit of Manaslu mountain at 9:20 am.

He climbed Manaslu along with Japanese Naoko Watanabe, Iranian Ahmad M. Saleh and Nepali Tenzing Sherpa, Pemba Thinduk Sherpa, Manish Maharjan, Nurbu Sherpa and Lakpa Sherpa of the Seven Summit Team.

Nima Rinji's father, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, is a record-breaking climber and owner of Seven Summit Treks' sister company, 14 Peaks Expeditions.

From an early age, Tashi trained Nima in professional climbing.

Saying that his grandfather Tashi wants to see Nima become a skilled mountaineer, he also revealed that there is a plan to climb 14 mountains above 8000 in the world.
