Nepal Wins 'A Leading Adventure Destination' at SATA Awards 2022

KATHMANDU, Oct 02: Nepal has bagged a prestigious award of  'A Leading Adventure Destination for 2022' at SATA   Awards 2022.  The Gala and Awards Ceremony was held on 30th September 2022 as part of the sixth edition of South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) at Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi in the Maldives.  

Vice President of Republic of Maldives Mr Faisal Naseem attended the awards ceremony which is one of the most prestigious tourism awards in South Asia.

A total of six South Asian countries competed for SATA 2022. More than 500 venues from six countries were nominated for the awards. The awards have been endorsed by more than 15 organisations in the Maldives and SAARC region.

President of SATA Mr Ismail Hameed and Vice President Mr Suraj Khan jointly gave away this award to Nepal through Mr Tek Bahadur Mahat, representative from Nepal.

Similarly, the hotels from Nepal, namely; Airport Hotel, The Soaltee Kathmandu, Aloft Hotels Thamel, Everest Hotel, Meghauli Serai Chitwan, Fern Residency Chitwan among others have also been awarded at the grand Gala and Award Ceremony.
