Solar light Installs in Halesi temple

KHOTANG, Dec 04: A solar lights has been installed in the premises of Halesi Temple, a famous religious place. As part of the Bright Halesi program, solar lights have been installed at 26 places in the temple premises at a cost of Rs.1 million by Province No. 1 Government, Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy.

Kamal Giri, Ward President and City Spokesperson of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-7 Mahadevsthan informed that solar lights have been installed in consideration of the inconvenience to the devotees due to the lack of lights. Solar lights have been arranged by placing 12 solar panels on the roof of Mahendrodaya High School.

After installing the solar lights, the municipality has to take care of maintenance and security. Giri informed that preparations are being made to install 26 solar lights at a cost of Rs.1 million.

According to the municipality, a bright program has been conducted for the convenience of pilgrims and devotees who come to Halesi, the confluence of Hindu, Buddhist and Kirant religions. The municipality has also installed CC cameras in 11 places at a cost of seven lakh rupees.

A big fair is held in Halesi for 15 days on the occasion of Ram Navami, five days on Shivratri, three days each on Bala Chaturdashi and Haritalika Teej and on the occasion of Bolbam every Monday of July/August. A master plan is being prepared for the overall development of Halesi.
