CAAN instructs NAC to prepare ground handing of Pokhara Regional International Airport

KATHMANDU, Dec 04: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has instructed the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) to prepare  the ground handling of Pokhara Regional International Airport.

According to Gyanendra Bhul, information officer of CAAN, the board meeting of CAAN held on 2nd December 2020(17th Mangsir, 2077) decided to give the ground handling of Bhairahawa and Pokhara airports to NAC.

He said that based on the same decision, NAC has been instructed to prepare for the ground handling of Pokhara Airport.

Earlier, NAC had requested CAAN to provide ground handling services. NAC has been handling the ground handling of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport.

It has been said that the ground handling work that NAC is currently doing has long-term managerial experience, correspondingly skilled manpower and the availability of necessary technical and resources.

In addition, NAC has also stated that its ground handling service is of international standard.
