Prabhu Bank organizes Financial Literacy

POKHARA:Prabhu Bank conducted a financial literacy campaign throughout Gandaki province as part of Global Money Week. Various provincial branch offices have conducted financial literacy workshops in those locations.

According to the bank, financial literacy classes have been held for residents of more than a hundred villages in Gandaki province, including Lomanthang in Mustang, Sibang in Myagdi, Tumsikagaon in Gorkha, and Timang in Manang. Citizens were educated on financial goals, savings, loans, budgeting, insurance, and remittances.

Global Money Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness among teenagers and young adults about the importance of financial education. Every year, this week is observed around the world. The week is observed in Nepal in conjunction with the National Bank. The week was observed this year from March 20th to March 26th.

The program was organized by Raju Rana, Head of Prabhu Bank's Gandaki State, with the goal of increasing knowledge of how to use money wisely, teaching short-term and long-term financial goal setting, developing the ability to choose and use appropriate financial services, and preparing for future risks.

According to Shanti Sherchan, the bank's chief professional center officer, financial literacy will increase citizens' knowledge about the proper management of money or assets, assist them in planning their lifetime expenses, and provide them with the necessary information about financial services.
