PADT imposes plastic ban in Pashupati temple premises from Wednesday
KATHMANDU, March 30:Plastic is prohibited in the Pashupatinath temple premises from Wednesday.
The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has published a notice on Wednesday and said that plastics are prohibited in the Pashupatinath temple premises due to the increase in garbage due to plastic in the Pashupati area.
The notice of the development trust says, "Since the sacred Pashupati area looks more dirty due to plastic materials, we should not bring plastic materials to this area and we will all come together to make the Pure Pashupatinath Clean Pashupatinath a success."
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has conducted a cleanliness drive in the Pashupati area every Saturday for three months.
The cleanliness campaign is running from 8 am to 10 am on Saturday and the fund has requested everyone to participate in the campaign.
