FNCCI President Dhakal urges UAE and Mongolian ambassadors to promote investment in Nepal

KATHMANDU:Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, urged that the ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates and Mongolia promote investment in Nepal.

On Wednesday, Dhakal met with UAE Ambassador Abdulla Al Shamsi and Ganbold Dambajav, Mongolia's Ambassador to India who is also accredited to Nepal.

The discussion focused on improving Nepal's bilateral trade and investment connections with these two countries. He also requested their participation in the Nepal Investment Summit, which is slated for April 28-29 in Kathmandu, according to a news release from the FNCCI president's private secretariat. 

In a meeting with the UAE ambassador, President Dhakal expressed gratitude for the success of the Nepal Dubai Business Summit, which was held in Dubai in November with the support of both countries’ embassies.

He also informed the ambassador that there is significant investment potential in Nepal. During the discussion, Abdullah Al Shamsi discussed the prospect of a bilateral investment deal between Nepal and the UAE.

Similarly, President Dhakal met with Mongolia's ambassador to discuss mutual trade and investment potential. President Dhakal addressed us about investment opportunities in Nepal's hydropower and tourism sectors. He also informed the ambassador on the stability of Nepal's foreign sector.
