Former Tourism Minister Sudan Kiranti suggested to Tourism Minister Tamang

KATHMANDU, April 29:Sudan Kiranti, former Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, submitted his suggestions to Hit Bahadur Tamang, the current Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.

Kiranti has stated that he submitted the recommendation letter based on the action plan he saw and implemented as a former minister.

He suggested promoting tourism with local flavor and ownership by altering nature and culture.

He stated that Nepal's tourist development can only be achieved by a combination of nature, culture, and adventurous activities.

On Friday afternoon, he delivered the suggestions to Minister Tamang in writing at the ministry.

He requested that the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, mountains, and snow ranges be designated as tourist attractions.

He stressed the importance of lakes, treks, circuits, wildlife reserves and parks, and religious and cultural sites. He proposed branding Raithane culture and knowledge (language, song, music, food, clothes, and skills).

He also suggested constructing a multicultural and multi-religious highway by including common locations of two or more religions, "branding" the four seasons, creating a "new heritage," and maximizing the use of science and technology.

It has also been proposed to establish global warming tourism to sway worldwide public opinion in Nepal's favor by transforming the repercussions of climate change into tourism products.

He has suggested that the Federal Culture Policy be passed by the Council of Ministers as soon as possible, that the Tourism Act be amended and sent to Parliament immediately, that the international airport commercially, using the PPP model to construct an alternative international airport, and restructuring the Nepal Airlines Corporation to put it under contract management.
