Nima Nuru Sherpa elected president of Nepal Mountaineering Association

KATHMANDU, June 12: Nima Nuru Sherpa has been elected as the president of Nepal Mountaineering Association. Sherpa defeated another candidate Rajendra Man Shrestha  the election held here on Friday, June 10, 2022.
 
Similarly, Thakur Raj Pande has been elected as senior vice-president, Ang Dawa Sherpa as first vice-president, Dawa Yangzum Sherpa as second vice-president, Mohan Lamsal as general secretary, Dhana Bahadur Gurung as secretary and Mukti Pandey as treasurer.

Aang Dawa Sherpa, Kisan Gurung, Singi Lama, Pitambar Gurung, Rajendra Bahadur Lama, Ram Chandra Dhamala, Namgyal Jungbu Sherpa, Pasang Dawa Sherpa, Dinesh Tamang, Nima Doma Sherpa and Doma Sherpa have been elected as members. Although 1,215 people renewed their membership, 905 people participated in the polls.
