NMA celebrates its 45th anniversary

KATHMANDU, Nov 02: Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) celebrates its 45th anniversary in a grand way. Krishna Prashad Sapkota, Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation inaugurated the ceremony by cutting cake and various Historical facts, statistics and pictures were presented in the event.

While inaugurating the ceremony, Secretary Sapkota said that NMA has played a vital role in promoting the mountains and they have been dedicated in each and every work. Also he urged the members of NMA to promote and identify new peaks. Santabir Lama, President of NMA recalled the history of NMA and said that NMA has worked hard for the promotion of the peaks of Nepal.
General Secretary of NMA, Kul Bahadur Gurung presented the ongoing statistics and discussed about the development and changes made my NMA and also expressed their further plans through projector projection. Likewise, the participants from Nepal Association of Tours and Travel, Hotel Association of Nepal, Thamel Tourism forum, Village tourism promotion forum and other travel and tourism entrepreneurs were present in the program.
