NMA Officials takes charge of office 15 days after being elected

KATHMANDU, August 21 : Elected Officials of Nepal Mountainering Association (NMA) took oath on Monday, 15 days after they got elected.
The new committee members took the oath I administration of Chief Election Commissioner Keshav Thapa.
The newly elected President of NMA, Santabir Lama expressed his commitment to be competent in completing the commitments at the time of election.
The oath taking ceremony of the new committee members was halted as the opponent group of Jimbajimbu Sherpa lodged protest claiming rigging in the election in the Chief District Office, Kathmandu. CDO ordered an investigation over the issue and found no wrong doings.
The election held fortnight elected Santabir Lama in the post of President, Diwas Bikram Shah as Vice President, Maya Sherpa as Secondary VP, Kul Bahadur Gurung as General Secretary, Tikaram Gurung as Secretary and Sudarshan Neupane as Treasurer.
