NMA Provides Mountaineering Course

KATHMANDU, June 24:  Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has trained 85 people in different four categories related to mountaineering. NMA has given Mountain leader course -winter component to 10, Mountain leader course component to 15, Mountain rescue training to 15 and Basic course to 45 people.

According to General Secretary of NMA, Kul Bahadur Gurung, the training was conducted in Solukhumbu, Kathmandu, Manang, Langtang, and Gorkha districts.

The participants received their certificate in Kathmandu by organizing an event on Friday. Chairman of NMA  Shantabir Lama, said that there was a need for mountaineering training because the training was is producing manpower as well as it is reducing accident.

Chairman, Lama, General Secretary, Kul Bahadur  Gurung, Secretary Tikaram Gurung, Vice President, Ang Tshering Sherpa, honored the candidates and provided certificates.
