NTB participates in SATTE 2018

KATHMANDU, Feb 05: Nepal Tourism Board has participated at the South Asian Travel and Trade Exchange (SATTE) Fair 2018 held in Pragati Maidan, Delhi from 31 Jan - 2 February. The SATTE fair was also attended by representatives from Nepal Airlines, NATTA Far West and 19 other private sector companies. The fair was participated by NTB Managers Ms. Ranu Shah, Mr. Suman Ghimire, Sr. Officer Santosh Bikram Thapa and Mr. Ram Prasad Lamichane.

The SATTE fair is South Asia’s largest and most reputed tourism show. SATTE this year celebrated the success of Silver Jubilee and hosted over 1000 exhibitors of over 50 countries and 28 Indian states.
The Nepal stall was visited by Charge De’ Affairs, Mr. Bharat Kumar Regmi and Mr. Krishna Hari Pushkar, Minister Economic of Nepal Embassy in New Delhi. NTB officials briefed them on the offers of Nepal and discusses prospective joint programs to be held in India for Nepal promotion. The delegates were impressed by Nepal pavilion which strongly featured Nepal’s culture and pilgrimage opportunities.
Nepal stall received an overwhelming response at the fair throughout the 3 days by media, tour operators, NTOs and consumers. It could be seen that the Indian Trade is gaining back the confidence to sell Nepal again as in previous years. There were many queries about adventure tourism, religious tourism and the regular Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan packages, Muktinath and Far West Nepal. The Maha Shivaratri festival was widely promoted from the stall along with Pashupatinath and Muktinath as major products.
SATTE provided a comprehensive platform to domestic and international buyers and professionals from across travel, tourism and hospitality industry along with national and state tourism boards to promote themselves through various platforms.
