NTB to provide shuttle bus service to passengers from TIA on Election Day

KATHMANDU, May 12: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) with the coordination of Tourist Police has arranged shuttle bus service for the national and international tourists and other passengers arriving and departing from Tribhuvan International Airport on May 14 2017 the local election .
“We have arranged shuttle bus service to and from the airport to various hotels to facilitate travellers”, said Sudan Subedi, a senior official at the NTB.
The Election Commission (EC) has made it mandatory to obtain permission for the use of vehicles on polling day. Candidates, security officials, national observers, monitors, diplomatic officials and the commissions would require a pass from the EC to run their vehicles on May 14.
Passengers can contact directly to the Tourist Police at 1144 (Toll Free Number) to know about the movement of buses. Bus will start running from 6 am in the morning.
Nepalese Rupees 300 (Three Hundred Only) will be charged to each passenger for this shuttle service. The shuttle bus will operate in three different routes as follows:
Route 1
Airport – NAC – Newroad – New Road – Hotel Annapurna – Hotel Yak & Yeti – Thamel Chowk – Lainchour Chowk – Hotel Shanker Hotel – Airport
Route 2
Airport – Hotel Shangrila – Narayan Gopal Chowk – Maharajgunj Chowk – Hyatt Regency – Chabahil Chowk – Hotel Dwarika – Airport
Route 3
Airport – Tinkune Chowk – Hotel Everest – Maitighar Chowk – Hotel Himalaya – St. Xavier’s School – Hotel Soaltee – Hotel Grand – Airport
