Over Rs 1.7 m offerings collected during Chaite Dashain

BAGLUNG, April 11: More than Rs 1.7 million offerings have been collected at the Goddess Kalika temple in Baglung district from devotees during the Chaite Dashain.

A total of Rs 1.754 million was collected from special worship at the shrine from March 29 to April 5.

Number of devotees visiting the temple had increased due to the Chaitrashtami fair organized at the temple premises.

Chairman of Temple Guthi Committee, Raju Khadka, said that the highest offering Rs 5.678 million was collected on the day of Ashtami.

A special religious fair is organized at the temple premises on the occasion of Bada Dashain and Chaite Dashain every year.
