Painting competition to mark Wildlife week

KATHMANDU, April 16: A secondary school-level painting competition was organised under the 22nd wildlife week here today.

The painting competition was held at the Maitghar Mandal premises under the wildlife week that began on April 14 with the main theme of 'youth initiative: conservation and prosperity guarateed'. A total of 104 students from 42 private and government schools in Kathmandu valley took part in the competition.

The event was organised with the objective of promoting knowledge about wildlife conservation among the youths, Deputy Director at the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Department Gopal Prakash Bhattarai said.
