Parliament Member Pahari announces Fewa Lake conservation efforts

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: Parliament member of Kaski, State No. 4, and Regional President of the Youth Association of Nepal, Rajiv Pahari, has announced that the beginning of the conservation work of Fewa Lake. He said that Fewa Lake presents hope and scope for the tourism and overall development of the state so it should be preserved.
On a journalists' meeting held at Pokhara on Wednesday, Pahari stated that increment of size of Fewa Lake will be started within a week of his oath-taking ceremony and that legal process for that has already been started. Thus, the the restoration of Fewa Lake will be started soon with the coordination of local, state, and central government along with the concerned government bodies. Pahari also promised to present a proposal in the very first parliament assembly, regarding the preservation of Fewa Lake.
