KATHMANDU, July 29: Hoteliers have said that a large number of tourists can come to Nepal if we can guarantee that good work is being done for the prevention and control of Covid-19.
Binayak Shah, Vice-President of the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), said that the government should ensure that foreign tourists do not get infected with covid when they come to Nepal. He said that arrangements should be made to take PCR test of tourists for this. He said that a PCR testing center would be set up at the Tribhuvan International Airport to send a good message about our health service in abroad to attract tourists.
He said that it was positive to provide 'working capital' at 5 percent interest rate through monetary policy for the tourism sector and hotel business. Entrepreneurs have also said that the government should give a discount in the fees charged for tourists coming to Nepal.
