KATHMANDU, Mar 28: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has claimed to make Nepal a prosperous country through the development of its tourism potential.
In the 7th General Meeting of the Trade Union Federation, Prime Minister Oli remarked that rather than developing the country in the model of other developed nations, he will seek to assert Nepal’s identity in the world. He said that when the country is developed with its identity intact, Nepali citizens will find the western image of development less appealing.
Prime Minister Oli also announced that he would be the first tourist in the Karnali Tourism Year 2075, setting tent at the Rara Lake on the last day of 2074 as a symbolic start of the transformation of Nepal into a tourism hub.
Oli has said that the government has successfully achieved political transformation, and as such is completely focused on developing Nepal into a prosperous country.
