Pokhara's Pork Festival in the offing

POKHARA, June 11: The 3rd edition of the Pork Festival is being held in Pokhara to promote pork's commercial trade.
Under the theme, 'Pork White and Healthy Meat', the festival is taking place on June 16, 17 and 18 at the Pokhara exhibition centre.
Pig Breeder Agriculture Cooperative Ltd Pokhara Chair and Pork Festival's Coordinator, Yog Bahadur Acharya, said the festival was being held to promote a variety of delicacies made from pork and boost the commercial base.
During the festival, Acharya added that the information on pork's marketing strategies, management of pigsty and various other aspects will be provided to the visitors.
The festival will feature 20 restaurants that specialises on pork items including musical processions, folk dances and cultural events.
