Polish Mountaineering Association conducted inauguration program of Super Marathon

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: The Inauguration program of Super Marathon has been successfully conducted by Polish Mountaineering Association at Army Physical Training and Sports Centre, Lagankhel. Poland celebrated 100 years of Independence of Poland through 100km Marathon in Kathmandu. 400 poles have set out from Warsaw to Nepal to take part in the "Polish Himalaya 2018" project commemorating 100th anniversary of Polish Independence and the mountaineers who died attempting to climb the highest mountains on the earth.
This super marathon will be conducted from October 13 to 22. A hundred kilometers of marathon is said to be conducted for physical exercise as there is no such thing as competition only the interested ones can participate in the marathon.
Speaking in the event, The Ambassador of republic of Poland in New Dheli, H.E Mr. Adam Burakowski said that this program is being organized for commemorating 100th anniversary of Polish Independence and the mountaineers who lost their life while attempting to climb mountains. He also thanked NTB and Nepal army for supporting them to conduct this event.
Likewise, Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board welcomed all the Polish to the gateway of Himalaya's Nepal and thanked all the travel and trade industry. He said that Nepal is all about heroic experience. He wished the entire Polish tourist to have successful event and to have pleasant stay in Nepal.
