Prabhu Helicopter to purchase new helicopter worth 30 million rupees

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Prabhu Helicopter Private Limited is about to launch a new helicopter that can fly up to 22,000 feet. Prabhu Helicopter has invested Rs 30 million to purchase the helicopter from Airbus Company.

The new helicopter, which will arrive within February, will fly at a height of 22,000 feet, the company said. The company currently has 5 helicopters capable of flying at a maximum altitude of 14,000 feet. "We now have 5 helicopters with a flying capacity of 14,000 feet, a new helicopter can fly at 22,000 feet altitude," said Prabhu Group Chairman Devi Prakash Bhattachan.

The new helicopter is targeted for passengers arriving at high altitude destinations such as Gosainkunda, Damodarkunda, Hilsa, Lukla, and Everest. The company currently operates 5 helicopter with the seat capacity of three passengers and one pilot, while the new helicopter has four passengers and one pilot seat capacity.

According to Chairman Bhattachan, the helicopters previously cost Rs. 10 million but the cost of the new helicopter would be Rs. 30 million.
