Promoting villages in international level through VITOF: Basu Pandey

KATHMANDU, July 24: 33-year-old Basu Pandey, started his journey as a trekking guide. He has been engaged in the tourism sector since the past 15 years. He is currently working as General Secretary of VITOF. He have been working to develop and promote the remote villages as tourism destination by involving himself on Village Tourism Promotion Forum Nepal since last 4 years.
Now he is going to fight for the post of President in this upcoming election. During his stay at VITOF, he has taken initiative for various works like website upgrading, collection of number of home stay, publishing books, promotion of the villages in international level and conducting various home stay trainings along with rice planting festival.
His main goal is to upgrade the level of VITOF and to search tourism potentiality in every village. He wants to promote the culture and of each and every village among the tourists. With the collaboration of local people, he wants to make a tourist village in each and every municipality. He also has plans to construct the branch of VITOF in each and every province. His main agenda is to identify the tourism products and work for the betterment tourism promotion.
