Qatar Airlines adds One flight from Doha to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU : Qatar Airways has added daily flight on its Doha–Kathmandu route from Friday, to meet the surge in demand during Nepal’s festival season, which takes place every year in September and October.
With the additional daily flight, Qatar Airways will be operating four daily flights between Doha and Kathmandu, providing its passengers even more flexibility when travelling to Nepal, the airline said.
The additional frequency will be served by an Airbus A320, departing Doha at 01:25 and arriving in Kathmandu at 8:55.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are delighted to add an additional frequency to Kathmandu, in anticipation of increased demand for passengers travelling to Nepal for the festival season. This additional daily flight will allow our passengers even more opportunity to experience Kathmandu, a captivating city that draws travellers from all over the globe.”
The Qatar Airways Airbus A320 features 12 Business Class seats and 132 seats in Economy Class.
The award-winning airline recently added additional flights to Colombo and Dhaka, to accommodate increased demand to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
An exciting year for the airline continues with a total of 26 new destination launches set to take place throughout the rest of 2017 and into 2018, with new flights to Canberra, Australia; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; San Francisco, US; and Santiago, Chile, to name a few.
Qatar Airways serves a network of more than 150 destinations, with newly-launched additions including Dublin, Republic of Ireland; Nice, France; Skopje; Sohar, Sultanate of Oman; Prague, Czech Republic and Kyiv, Ukraine.
