Rafting Guide Training Completed

Kathmandu, Jan 21: A two week ‘Rafting River Guide Training’ organized in collaboration between the Nepal Association of Rafting Agency (NARA) and Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) has been completed this Friday.
51 trainees have received the basic training for becoming a river rafting guide. The General Secretary of NARA, Mr. Shiva Adhikari informed that the trainees had 12 days written training in NATHM and 2 days practical training in Charaudi, Trishuli with the total of 14 days of basic training. He also informed that certificates were distributed to all the guides on Friday.
NARA President Mr. Nim Bahadur Magar, Executive Director of NATHM Mr. Durga Dutta Dhakal, Principal of NATHM Mr. Krishna Kharel including NARA’s former president, members and 150 participants participated in the certificate distribution program. Mr. Adhikari added that this type of training will increase skilled manpower, employment opportunities and develop the tourism sector as a whole.
