Renovated Chandranarayan Temples gets inaugurated by Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: The Charanarayan temple of the 16th century built in the Malla period in Patan Durbar area which was destroyed by Earthquake of 2015, has been renovated.

The renovated temple was jointly inaugurated on Wednesday by Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai, US Ambassador to Nepal Ryandi Berry and Director General of the Department of Archeology Damodar Gautam.

The World Monument Fund, the Japanese Embassy, ​​the German Embassy, ​​and the South Asia Institute assisted the Kathmandu Valley Cultural Protection Fund with financial support from the US Ambassador Cultural Protection Fund for this renovation project.

The US Ambassador Cultural Protection Fund has assisted in the protection of 24 cultural heritage with the help of more than 3.5 million dollar.
