Sauraha Food Festival from April 13

CHITWAN, April 12: The 16th edition of Sauraha Food Festival will be organized in Sauraha this time on the occasion of New Year.

The Food Festival will be organized by Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Sauraha from April 13 to April 15. Festival coordinator Dhruv Giri said that the festival was organized to restore the tourism of Sauraha which started gaining momentum after the Corona epidemic.

The festival will feature local, local and foreign food. Giri said that the festival will focus on the preservation of local art, culture and costumes. According to Giri, the main attraction of this edition will be the tableau performances of various castes, mothers' groups and other organizations and performances of national and local artists.

He said that a jhanki of Janajati would be displayed every evening from the venue to Sauraha Dam during the program. According to the organizers, arrangements will be made for tourists to sit on the side of the road and enjoy the dishes.

The organizers have estimated that up to 20,000 spectators will come to the festival daily and the turnover will be more than Rs 30 million. The festival, co-organized by REBAN Women's Group and Regional Hotel Association Nepal, Chitwan, will cost more than Rs 6 million, according to the organizers.
