Sauraha to Host Food Festival on Valentine’s Day

RATNANAGAR, Jan 30 : Planning to make this year’s Valentine’s Day special? Want to try some new dishes and the traditional cuisines? Then your best destination will be 11th Sauraha Food Festival set to start from 14th of Feb in Ratnanagar.
The two day food festival is organized by Regional Restaurant, and Bar Association of Nepal (Regional REBAN). “Food festival takes place to promote and lift up tourism of Sauraha”, Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) quoted Festival Coordinator, Naresh Giri.
Chitwan is the third most popular tourist destination in the Nepal offering the food festival with slogan of, 'Chitwan Sauraha's Specialty, its Natural Beauty', offering a slew of Nepali and foreign dishes including the local delicacies of the Tharu community.
During the commencement of festival the restaurants and hotels is offering 15 per cent discount while small tourism entrepreneurs are offering 30 per cent discount to the visitors.
A portion of the proceeds generated through the event will be channeled as assistance for disabled and elderly citizens, management of playing fields, local clubs and Bright Sauraha Programme.
