Senior Vice President of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal emphasizes need of cooperation between government and private sector

KATHMANDU, April 02: Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that cooperation between the government and the private sector will bring prosperity to the country in a short time.

Addressing the handover ceremony of the newly elected working committee of the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Birgunj on Friday, Senior Vice President Dhakal said that all the three levels of government need to work closely with the private sector.

Stating that there is an opportunity for investment in Province 2 and the environment is being created, Dhakal urged the government of Province 2 and the Birgunj Sub-Metropolis to move ahead with the private sector. Senior Vice President Dhakal said that only a political leadership that understands the problems of the private sector will be successful. 

Stating that the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is bringing Vision Paper 2030 and aims to increase the size of the economy by creating 2.2 million new jobs within the next 10 years, he said the role of organizations like Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry would be important for its implementation. He said that the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to play an important role in business issues.
