Shree Airlines operating its flight from Rajbiraj today

KATHMANDU, June 24: Shree Airlines starts its daily flights in Rajbiraj, Saptati from today. The airlines will fly the Kathmandu-Rajbiraj route with a CRJ having the jet engine for 5 days per week.

Anil Manandhar, Corporate Manager of Shree Airlines, said that the airlines will be operating on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The duration of the flight will be 24 minutes. With the operation of flights at Rajbiraj airport, the passengers going to eastern Siraha, Saptari and Udaypur districts will not have to visit Biratnagar or Janakpur.

The Rajbiraj airport, built in the year 2016, was closed since 2052. The tourism minister inaugurated the airport and it was re-constructed on September 16. Anil Manandhar informed that the flight was supposed to operate from June 15 but due to technical reasons flights were delayed.

Shree has been flying from three airplanes in five different states of the country from August 2017. It has 50-seat Bombardier CRJ 200 models built in Canada and a ship of the 78-seat capacity of the CRJ 700 model.

Shree is currently flying to Bhairawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Bhadrapur, and Biratnagar. Rajbiraj is going to be its sixth destination. The flight of the 700 model is operated in Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi whereas for other places CRJ 200 ship is operated.
