Shuklaphanta Festival begins to promote tourism

BHIMDATTA, Feb 22: The fourth Shuklaphanta Tourism Festival has started in Shuklaphanta National Park.
The festival will be held till February 27 with the slogan 'Capital of Tourist Possibilities, Shuklaphanta National Park'.
The Bhimdatta Municipality has organized the festival for the fourth time to promote tourism in Shuklaphanta National Park. The Shuklaphanta Tourism Festival has been organized on February 21, the day of the declaration of Shuklaphanta National Park for the past two years.
Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale inaugurated the festival amidst formal programs. He said that the festival would help in the promotion of tourism by promoting Shuklaphanta National Park.
"Shuklaphanta National Park is a very important place in terms of tourism promotion. The festival is organized to promote tourism by promoting it," he said. "I hope this festival will help in the promotion of tourism."
Mayor of Bhimdatta Municipality Surendra Bista said that the festival was organized keeping in view the tourism promotion as Shuklaphanta National Park is a big tourist destination in the far western region.
"The Shuklaphanta National Park is an important tourist destination and needs to be promoted nationally and internationally," he said. "The festival is expected to help promote its tourism."
A school level oratory competition is being held on February 11. There is a program of cycling race competition from the suspension bridge to the airport and a tour of the park on February 24 and 25.
Similarly, elephant safaris and excursions will be organized on February 25 and 26 for distinguished personalities who have contributed in various fields. The festival will be concluded on the last day of the festival by distributing prizes on February 27.
