Sita Air makes successful test flights in Jufal Airport

NEPALGUNJ, Nov 20: The Dornier Deo-228 registration 9 N-AHB aircraft has made successful test flight to Jufal Airport, Dolpa from Nepalgunj Aiport.

The airlines informed that the aircraft took off from Nepalgunj Airport at 7:16 AM and landed successfully in Jufal Airport at 7:45 AM on Sunday.

Rabin Gauchan and Kishor Bhattachan were the pilots assisted by F/O Abin Gauchan, Air Hostess Nabina Bista and officials from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

Sita Air currently operates flight to Surkhet, Simikot and Jumla Airport from Nepalgunj Airport through its Dornier Deo-228 aircraft. It also makes direct flights to Lukla from Kathmandu.

With the successful test flight the Airlines is expected to start the commercial flight to Dolpa very soon.

Air ways are the only means of transport for the residents of Dolpa. With the increased interest of commercial flights to the Dolpa after the blacktopping of the runway the lifestyle of the people is expected to ease.
