Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza to start its lounge service at TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The five-star Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza is going to start lounge (restaurant) service at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) from next February/March. The Thai Lounge, operated by Thai Airways, was closed due to Covid.

The Soaltee Hotel has been allowed to operate for three years through open competition called by Tribhuvan International Airport. Soaltee will be called on Wednesday for applications for the required manpower. According to the airport, three more years can be added after three years.

The hotel has invited applications for seven posts including Lounge Manager, Executive Manager, Chef, Kitchen Steward, Service Less Hostess, Housekeeping, Executive Secretary. Vice President Sudarshan Chapagain said that the hotel has already started work to redesign the lounge, which has an area of 1,800 square feet.
'Now the lounge will look different than before. Renovation work is starting from next year, 'he said,' the design work has been entrusted to an Indian company. ' He said that international standard service will be provided to the passengers of Tribhuvan Airport.

Passengers will find food and beverage, bar, relaxation area, bakery, take-away, Wi-Fi, smoking zone and other facilities from this lounge. "We expect international passenger arrivals to gradually increase from next February/March," he said. Highly premium service is ready. Vice President Chapagain said that the new design of the lounge will be ready within a year and it will be named after that.
